- What kind of game is SFF?
- I'm not sure that I can really classify it. You might consider it
an arcade shoot-em up. However, there is a storyline, there are 15
different levels, and the object is not simply to "shoot-em-up". You have
missions, and can scroll 4 different ways. The most common objective is
to blow up the enemy core. If I had to compare it to a game, I would
probably compare it to a 2D Descent.
- What are the objectives?
- As mentioned above, the most common goal is to blow up the enemy core.
However, some other objectives come along with these, such as find a scientist
or a special CD.
- What's the next game you will come out with?
- Well, I'm going to see how popular this game is. At this point I
think I will make a game where you play the SETE, the enemy of the SFF.
However, some new features will be better art, more robots and tilesets,
5 new ships, old bugs fixed, and special weapons such as missiles and spread
shot. The programming for this new game is about 90% done seeing as I
will use the same engine, but I'm working on coming up with a better plot
and more complex missions. I also need an artist who will be willing to
help with this next game. If you want to help out or are
interested in possibly publishing this upcoming game go here.
Oh, I'll let out a little rumor, I am working on another game. The title as
of now for this distant future game is "BotWars". All I can tell you about
this game is that it won't be like anything you've ever seen before. Don't
believe me? Well, keep checking this site as I slowly release information on
it.
- How do you make such great games for free?
- Just kidding. I know these games aren't that great. But the price is right,
you can't deny that. Seriously though, I hope some day to make a living out
of making games someday, as soon as I catch up with technology (j/k once again).
After I learn a little more about game programming I will start selling great
games (I hope).
